Texas has a proud history of democratic innovation. Participatory Budgeting (PB) began here in 2013 at Palo Alto College and expanded in 2018 with San Antonio's District 9, quickly growing into the largest participatory democratic exercise in the American South.

Now, we are taking the next evolutionary step. Be part of a historic global collaboration as students, professors, and citizens from Kerala, India, and Texas, USA, join forces to design, develop, and deploy the PBTX Metaverse, a revolutionary statewide platform for participatory democracy. 

A key feature of this initiative is the trial of a groundbreaking community-backed microfinance model for small and medium-sized businesses, creating a new engine for local economic empowerment. This is more than a project; it's a movement to build a more inclusive, transparent, and powerful future for all.
